WHere is a home-style version of a drink from our latest drinks list. It's a batch premix that is bursting with essence associated with holiday season, making it excellent for your celebration. Any leftover cordial to use in brunch beverages, puddings, or to make additional servings of this cocktail.
Bikini Recipe
Yields 10 servings
For the Citrus Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g fine sugar
To make the Cocktail (produces 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml good quality vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine syrup (see above)
Fresh cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing
Instructions
To prepare the Syrup: Place every components into a pot, heat until it reaches a light boil, stirring to dissolve. Next, take off the heat and let it to reach room temperature completely. Decant into a clean bottle, cap it and refrigerate it in the refrigerator, it will last for up to four weeks.
For the Premix: Mix the specified liquid ingredients into a large bottle, allow it to infuse for 60 minutes, then filter it preferably using cheesecloth, so it's perfectly clear.
When ready to serve: Pour 85ml from the batch mix into a mixing glass containing ice, and stir lightly for a minute to chill. Pour to a cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, top with some cranberries and finish by giving it a brief mist of mandarin oil over the drink.
