I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
